XactNet is Xactimate's cloud-based delivery network that transmits estimates, supplements, and supporting documentation from the estimator's Xactimate instance to the carrier's XactAnalysis review platform. When you click "submit" in Xactimate, your estimate travels through XactNet to the carrier's XactAnalysis platform. XactNet is the pipeline - it moves the data. Xactimate is the authoring tool. XactAnalysis is the carrier's review platform. Understanding which is which prevents confusion when a carrier says "submit through XactNet."

How XactNet Connects the Ecosystem

XactNet sits between Xactimate (authoring) and XactAnalysis (review), handling all the data transmission.

Every piece of claim documentation that moves between contractors, public adjusters, and carriers travels through XactNet. This includes initial estimates, supplements, re-inspection reports, and status updates.

What Goes Through XactNet

Estimates and supplements are the primary traffic, but XactNet carries more than just pricing files. Supporting documentation - photos, code citations, manufacturer specifications, and notes - can be attached to the ESX file and transmitted alongside the estimate. When the carrier says "we need more documentation," uploading it through XactNet ensures it is attached to the correct claim file in XactAnalysis.

Why Submission Format Matters

XactNet is built to handle ESX files natively. When you submit a properly formatted ESX file through XactNet, it arrives in XactAnalysis ready for the carrier's desk reviewer to open and process. The line items, Sketch data, trade groups, and attached documentation all transfer cleanly.

When contractors or public adjusters email PDF estimates instead of submitting through XactNet, the carrier has to manually enter the data into their system. This adds days to the review process, introduces transcription errors, and gives the carrier a procedural reason to delay.
